dc.description	In order to determine the health endoparasite of stray dogs and to assess soil contamination by these, we studied the soil and feces found in the park Alberto Manuel Brenes between March and April 2011. We confirmed the presence of four species of parasites in the stool and one type of parasites in the soil samples using two sampling techniques: Sheater and Saline – Lugol, resulting in 83,33% positive and 16,6% positive respectively. The parasites can be transmitted to humans, so it is necessary to manage health programs for prevention, control and eradication of parasitic zoonoses.	en-US
dc.description	Con el objetivo de determinar la salud endoparasitaria de los perros callejeros y evaluar la contaminación del suelo por parte de éstos, se analizó el suelo y las heces encontradas en el parque Alberto Manuel Brenes entre marzo y abril del 2011. Se comprobó la presencia de cuatro especies de parásitos en las heces y una especie en las muestras del suelo mediante dos técnicas de muestreo: Sheater y Salina – lugol, resultando 83,33% y 16,6% positivas respectivamente. Los parásitos hallados pueden ser transmitidos al ser humano, por lo cual es preciso gestionar programas sanitarios de prevención, control y erradicación de la zoonosis parasitaria.	es-ES
