dc.descriptionThis article describes the activities undertaken as part of the Community Universitary Work called Demonstrative Forest in the Sede Occidente of the University of Costa Rica. Such actions propitiate participants take ownership of the natural sciences in the targeted communities of the project, such as Rio Jesus. dc.descriptionEn este artículo se describen las actividades realizadas como parte del proyecto de Trabajo Comunal Universitario Bosque Demostrativo de la Sede de Occidente de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Este tipo de acciones propician que los participantes se apropien de las ciencias naturales en las comunidades beneficiarias del proyecto, como es el caso de Río Jesús. Las personas de esta comunidad se mostraron satisfechas de haber participado en la reforestación y la Feria Ambiental Educativa donde se propició la conservación de los bosques y del agua del cantón de San Ramón. es-ES
