dc.descriptionThe results of archaeological research are discussed on a battlefield that was the scene of armed conflicts in December 1856 and in the first months of 1857, in the context of the war against the filibusters led by William Walker. The documentary sources of the time are confronted with the analysis of a war landscape, detailing the distribution of the war objects found, delimiting the trenches and locating the houses corresponding to La Trinidad, a fort on the Sarapiquí River, a space that was occupied before the war events and after them, the chronology includes 1000 years of history, starting from 900 Aen-US
dc.descriptionSe discuten los resultados de la investigación arqueológica en un campo de batalla que fue escenario de conflictos armados en diciembre de 1856 y en los primeros meses de 1857, en el contexto de la guerra contra los filibusteros liderada por William Walker. Se confrontan las fuentes documentales de la época con el análisis de un paisaje de guerra, detallando la distribución de los objetos bélicos encontrados, delimitando las trincheras y ubicando las viviendas correspondientes a La Trinidad, fuerte del río Sarapiquí, espacio que fue ocupado antes de los eventos bélicos y posterior a los mismos, la cronología comprende 1000 años de historia, a partir de 900 d.C.es-ES
