| dc.description | This article deals with the analysis and characterization of those judgments issued by the Inter-American Court that have a direct relationship with “bioethical dimensions”. Bioethics is a relatively recent discipline, but its factual framework covers aspects of diverse nature, protecting the human being from abuses of scientific research, adequate information and access to medical treatments, the enjoyment of an adequate level of health without no discrimination whatsoever, and the validity of the right to life. The article includes at least three possible dimensions that have been developed in the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court: human dignity, right to health and adequate medical practices, and clinical bioethics and the right to life. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo trata del análisis y caracterización de aquellas sentencias emitidas por la Corte Interamericana, que tengan relación directa con <<dimensiones bioéticas>>. La bioética es una disciplina relativamente reciente, pero su marco fáctico abarca aspectos de diversa índole, protegiendo al ser humano de los abusos de la investigación científica, de la adecuada información y acceso a tratamientos médicos, del disfrute de un nivel adecuado de salud sin discriminación alguna y de la vigencia del derecho a la vida. El artículo recoge al menos tres dimensiones posibles que se han gestado en la jurisprudencia de la Corte Interamericana –dignidad humana; derecho a la salud y prácticas médicas adecuadas y la bioética clínica y derecho a la vida-. | es-ES |
