dc.descriptionWe present a case of a 59-year-old male patient, who was of the physical examination showed multiple lesions in the extremities and a deep one in the anterior thorax with loss of epithelial and subcutaneous tissue. He is taken to the operating room to perform surgical scrubbing and antibiotic coverage is started with cefotaxime and clindamycin as well as prophylaxis against tetanus and diphtheria. Later he moved to Plastic Surgery of the San Juan de Dios Hospital for reconstructive process. In ourcountry; attacks by Crocodile bite have been increasing significantly, with the South Zone the sites with the highest number of attacks of this type.en-US
dc.descriptionSe presenta el caso clínico de un paciente masculino de 59 años, el cual fue víctima de mordedura por cocodrilo en el mar. Los hallazgos al examen físico se observómúltiples lesiones en extremidades y una profunda en tórax anterior con pérdida de tejido epitelial y subcutáneo. Fue llevado a sala de operaciones para realizar lavado quirúrgico y se inició cobertura antibiótica con cefotaxime y clindamicina además de profilaxis contra tétanos y difteria. Posteriormente fue trasladado a Cirugía Plástica del Hospital San Juan de Dios para proceso reconstructivo. En nuestro país los ataques por mordedura de Cocodrilo han ido aumentando de manera significativa siendo la Zona Sur el sitio con mayor número de agresiones de este tipo.es-ES
