dc.descriptionThis essay makes a review of the integrative psychotherapy movement. First defines the integration and the different levels in which it manifests. Then makes a description of the evolution of the movement in clinical practice and compares the cognitive approaches that have been termed as integrative. The proposal of the essay is to highlight the systemic approach as a level of integration that can be called meta-theoretical because it provides a comprehensive, flexible epistemic framework and its explanatory enough to be able to capture the progress of cognitive psychology and the effort of the integration movement for finding common elements in clinical practice.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente ensayo hace una revisión del movimiento integrador en psicoterapia cognitiva y compara esto con el movimiento sistémico. Además, se destaca la importancia de un marco epistemológico para fundamentar la integración. Para entender esto se realiza una descripción de la evolución del movimiento integrador en la práctica clínica. Luego, una breve reseña de los enfoques cognitivos que se han denominado a sí mismo, integradores. La propuesta del ensayo es resaltar el enfoque sistémico como un nivel de integración que se puede denominar meta-teórico, pues provee de un marco epistémico amplio, flexible y lo suficientemente explicativo como para poder comprender tanto el progreso de la psicología cognitiva como el esfuerzo del movimiento integrador para encontrar elementos en común en la práctica.es-ES
