HISPANISMOS EN EL DISCURSO BRIBRI

dc.descriptionIn this paper I continue previous research on Spanish loan words in Bribri, an indigenous language spoken in Costa Rica by ca. 6000 people. I first summarize the findings of that first analysis, by which Hispanic loans in a conversation between two young native speakers of Bribri and fluent in Spanish were established, and then I compare those results with Spanish loans found in two interviews with two elder monolingual speakers of Bribri. It was found that, in both cases, most Spanish loans in Bribri discourse are not lexical but particles with discursive function. A considerable amount of examples from the Bribri interviews are provided.en-US
dc.descriptionSe continúa una investigación anterior sobre los préstamos léxicos del español en bribri, lengua indígena hablada en Costa Rica por unas 6000 personas. Primero se resumen los hallazgos del primer análisis, mediante el cual se establecieron los préstamos hispánicos en una conversación entre dos jóvenes hablantes nativos de bribri y fluidos en español, y luego se comparan esos resultados con los hispanismos hallados en dos entrevistas a dos hablantes mayores y monolingües de bribri. Se logra establecer que, en ambos casos, en su gran mayoría los préstamos hispánicos en el discurso bribri no son léxicos, sino partículas con función discursiva. Se proporciona una cantidad considerable de ejemplos tomados de las entrevistas en bribri.es-ES
