dc.description"Metal derusting by means of laser irradiation has attracted considerable attention in recent years. This is a non-invasive and rapid cleaning process that is superior to conventional abrasive treatments in terms of maintaining the surface structure and saving time. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal laser cleaning parameters for high carbon steel and grey cast iron. The tests were conducted using a 20 W pulsed fiber and a 30 W CO2 lasers. In addition, a mathematical model was developed to study the mechanism of laser-matter interaction on the cleaning process."
