dc.descriptionThis paper describes recent IDIAP experiences in implementing on-farm research methodologies. This first project, developed with CIMMYT's cooperation, is described in detail, with emphasis on links between diagnostic/experimental strategy and trial management and on program adjustments, cycle by cycle, as experimental results are fully analized. The institutionalization of on-farm research within IDIAP and the issues presently confronted in this area are also covered.
