| dc.description | Las primeras viviendas construidas en Uruguay bajo el sistema cooperativo se reconocen como ejemplos de alta calidad espacial y constructiva, un modo social y políticamente legitimado de construcción colectiva del hábitat. A diferencia de otras experiencias conservan vigencia disciplinar, gozando de la aprobación de los usuarios y los profesionales, en un escenario donde las esferas de la vida en común, las normatividades de género y la administración de los recursos son centro de debates. Este artículo analiza el contexto en que surgieron, presentando actores y arriesgando hipótesis interpretativas. Se detiene en el primer gran conjunto, proyectado en 1972 y construido por ayuda mutua en la periferia noreste de Montevideo, estudiando los elementos físicos que lo constituyen. A partir de este caso se contrastan las posibilidades iniciales con los cambios operados en el sistema cooperativo. Más que idealizar nostálgicamente la experiencia, se busca revisar los intereses en juego, la vigencia de modelo, las luces y oscuridades del proceso recorrido. | |
| dc.description | The first houses built in Uruguay by the cooperative system are recognized as examples of high spatial and constructive quality, a socially and politically legitimate way of collective habitat construction. Unlike other experiences, they retain disciplinary validity, and enjoy the approval of users and professionals in a scenario where the spheres of life in common, gender regulations and the administration of resources are the center of debates. This article analyzes the historical context in which they emerged, presenting actors and risking interpretive hypotheses. It stops at the first large complex, designed in 1972 and built by mutual aid on the northeastern suburb of Montevideo, studying the physical elements that constitute it. Starting from this case, the initial possibilities are contrasted with the subsequent changes operated in the cooperative system. Rather than nostalgically idealize the experience, it seeks to review the interests at stake, the validity of the model, the lights and darks of the process covered. | |
