| dc.description | El presente trabajo reflexiona acerca de algunos laberintos que transitan las mujeres trans de la provincia de Santiago del Estero- Argentina al momento de construir una identidad no convencional dentro de una sociedad patriarcal. Este artículo es parte y producto de un largo proceso de investigación cualitativa que comenzó con el proceso de desarrollo de la tesis de maestría, luego con la del doctorado, donde se trabajó con un enfoque etnográfico centrado en las trayectorias de vida de las mujeres. Para ello, se realiza una breve caracterización del grupo que forma parte de este trabajo. Asimismo, tendrá lugar una descripción de cómo operan las familias tradicionales frente a las identidades diversas y la influencia de la religión sobre estas. Los laberintos no son lineales, tampoco tienen una sola entrada y una salida, son complejidades que viven las mujeres trans y a través de las que aprenden distintas estrategias para transitarlos. En este contexto, muchas veces las mujeres trans son expulsadas, rechazadas y discriminadas por la propia familia, se ven obligadas a abandonar el hogar y, en algunos casos, a migran a otras provincias en búsqueda del anonimato que una gran ciudad podría ofrecer a la hora de construir su identidad e ingresan a la prostitución como único medio de supervivencia. Por otra parte, la religión ejerce fuerte influencia sobre el modelo de familia a seguir y sobre los roles que deben cumplir los varones y las mujeres dentro de la misma. | |
| dc.description | This paper reflects on some labyrinths that trans women from the province of Santiago del Estero-Argentina go through when building an unconventional identity within a patriarchal society. This article is part and product of a long qualitative research process that began with the development process of the master's thesis, then with the doctorate, where an ethnographic approach focused on the life trajectories of women was worked on. For this, a brief characterization of the group that is part of this work is made. Likewise, there will be a description of how traditional families operate in the face of diverse identities and the influence of religion on them. The labyrinths are not linear, nor do they have a single entrance and exit, they are complexities that trans women live through and through which they learn different strategies to navigate them. In this context, many times trans women are expelled, rejected and discriminated against by their families, they are forced to leave home and, in some cases, migrate to other provinces in search of the anonymity that a big city could offer to the time to build their identity and enter prostitution as the only means of survival. On the other hand, religion exerts a strong influence on the family model to follow and on the roles that men and women must fulfill within it. | |
