| dc.description | Las primeras observaciones de HD 94776 efectuadas en Córdoba hicieron suponer que se trataba de una variable. Posteriormente, el tercer catálogo de Chandler la presenta como seguramente variable (T Carinae). Sin embargo, Paddock la considera sumamente dudpsa fundándose en la constancia de la velocidad radial y en el hecho de que las variables de largo período y cefeidas raramente pertenecen al tipo K. Más adelante Jordan hizo ochenta y cuatro estimaciones de magnitud cubriendo el intervalo. | |
| dc.description | Four spectrograms of the supposed variable T Carinae taken at Bosque Alegre (Córdoba) (42 A/mm) were measured to investigate the hypothetical variability, discussed previously by several investigators. The resulting velocity is —28.1 ± 09 km/sec, a value which agrees, inside the probable error, with that given in the Lick Catalogue. Twenty estimates of the magnitude (between 1948 and 1951), give 7m5 without indication of variability. The conclusion is that T Carinae most probably has constant radial velocity and magnitude, and therefore should be excluded from the Catalogues of Variable Stars. | |
