dc.description | In the present text we offer a comparative analysis of two methodological projects in whiches focused his attention a great number of the most important philosophers of XVII century. By one side, the attempt to create a rational universal language, by the other, the attempt to apply the axiomatic framework of the Euclidian geometry to philosophical knowledge. The purpose in this work is to show that, following a brief exposition of some of their most meaningful methodological and epistemological aspects, in both underline a common background of ideas, concerns and interests. As regards to the exposition of the rational language we take in account different sources, but in relation to the project of axiomatizing philosophy we focus in Spinoza.
