| dc.description | En este artículo se indagará sobre la concepción del dibujo sostenida por el padre Francisco de Paula Castañeda (1776-1832) a partir del estudio de dos hechos puntuales en el transcurso del desarrollo de sus escuelas de dibujo: su arenga inaugural y sus repercusiones a través de la prensa periódica. Interesa aquí explorar cómo el dibujo, lejos de ser percibido como un saber acrítico y distante de compromisos políticos, se convirtió en arena de un debate en el que intervinieron diferentes posturas ideológicas y formas de pensar la sociedad a través de la apropiación y adaptación del pensamiento ilustrado. | |
| dc.description | This article explores the notion of drawing held by Father Francisco de Paula Castañeda (1776- 1832) through the study of specific events during the development of his Drawing Schools: his inaugural speech and repercussions. The study examines how drawing, far from being perceived as uncritical knowledge, became arena of a debate in which different ideological positions and ways of thinking society intervened by means of strategies of appropriation and adaptation of Enlightened Thought. | |
