| dc.description | Gran parte de las mujeres presas son madres solteras, con hijos e hijas a cargo, así como el principal sostén económico y emotivo del hogar, es de esperar que su encarcelamiento impacte fuertemente sobre sus hijos e hijas. A partir de la realización de entrevistas en profundidad a mujeres detenidas en el Complejo Penitenciario Federal IV – Ezeiza, Buenos Aires -, se indagó en los vínculos mantenidos por ellas con sus hijos/as. A pesar de los objetivos declarados por el sistema penal-penitenciario de promoción y fortalecimiento de los vínculos familiares, los resultados de la investigación muestran que no se cumplen. | |
| dc.description | Bearing in mind that a large number of women in prison are single mothers with dependent children, being the main economic and emotional support of the household, it is expected that their incarceration will have a strong impact on their sons and daughters. After carrying out in-depth interviews with women detained at Complejo Penitenciario Federal IV - Ezeiza, Buenos Aires -, the connections maintained by them with their children were investigated. Despite the stated objectives of the penal-penitentiary system for the promotion and strengthening of family ties, the results of the investigation show that it is not fulfilled. | |
