Rowling debuta como guionista: refunde un texto literario publicado en 2001 para crear una precuela de la serie de Harry Potter y traslada la acción a Nueva York de la década de 1920. En ese desplazamiento geográfico y temporal, la película desarrolla una trama que retoma y desarticula el mito del american dream en sus diferentes inflexiones. Rowling debuts as a Scriptwriter: she recasts a literary text published in 2001 to create a Harry Potter series' prequel, transferring the action to New York in the 1920's decade. In that geographical and temporal displacement, the movie develops a plot that takes back and dismantles the myth of the American dream in its different inflections.
