dc.descriptionThe research analyzes the impact of the exploitation of El Cerrejón, in the Department of La Guajira, by virtue of the forced displacement of the Wayú people in the last 20 years and the socioeconomic dynamics that have caused their displacement. The anthropological characteristics of the Wayú people, cosmovision and traditions are studied. The Colombian legal system is analyzed and the documentary research method is used. The need to intensify the levels of protection of this ancestral people is concluded, guaranteeing the right to their ancestral lands, habitat and sustainable development.en-US
dc.descriptionLa investigación analiza el impacto de la explotación de El Cerrejón, del Departamento de la Guajira, en virtud del desplazamiento forzado del pueblo Wayú de los últimos 20 años y las dinámicas socioeconómicas que han originado su desplazamiento. Se estudian las características antropológicas del pueblo Wayú, cosmovisión y tradiciones. Se analiza el ordenamiento jurídico colombiano y se utiliza el método de investigación documental. Se concluye la necesidad de intensificar los niveles de protección de este pueblo ancestral, garantizándole el derecho a sus tierras ancestrales, al hábitat y al desarrollo sostenible.es-ES
