dc.descriptionSustainable practices in tourist attractions allow the improvement of the quality of life of host communities and other indirect actors.In the present investigation, the tourist sustainability of the attractive Rucu Pichincha volcano is analyzed, considering management aspects by key actors.Structured interviews were applied to the representative of the San Francisco community of Cruz Loma, of the Cruz Loma Tourist Trust "El Teleférico Quito" and to a visitor; In addition, observation cards were prepared. These instruments were designed based on indicators of tourism sustainability.The results obtained, in their majority, show a positive state in response to the sustainability of the attractive Rucu Pichincha, however certain aspects that should improve in the San Francisco de Cruz Loma community were evidenced, with the objective of strengthening the development of the touristic activities.en-US
dc.descriptionLas prácticas sostenibles en atractivos turísticos permite el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de comunidades anfitrionas y de otros actores indirectos. En la presente investigación se analiza la sostenibilidad turística del atractivo volcán Rucu Pichincha, considerando aspectos de gestión por parte de actores clave. Se aplicaron entrevistas estructuradas al representante de la comunidad San Francisco de Cruz Loma, del Fideicomiso - Turístico Cruz Loma “El Teleférico Quito” y a un visitante; adicionalmente se elaboraron fichas de observación. Estos instrumentos se diseñaron en base a indicadores de sostenibilidad turística. Los resultados obtenidos, en su mayoría, muestran un estado positivo en respuesta a la sostenibilidad del atractivo Rucu Pichincha, sin embargo se evidenciaron ciertos aspectos que deben mejorar en la comunidad San Francisco de Cruz Loma, con el objetivo de fortalecer el desarrollo de la actividad turística.es-ES
