dc.descriptionThis article summarizes the study carried out, the objective of which is to assess the landscape impact of the Utcubamba River Falls, which is part of the research project for the management of natural landscapes for ecotourism purposes in the middle basin of the Utcubamba River. What is remarkable about the study is that it addresses a relatively new aspect; but, very important for the use of natural resources. In the valuation of the landscape there is a clear conflict between different approaches; the method used for the valuation of the landscape units in this work is the one proposed by Ignacio Cañas Guerrero and María A. Ruiz Sánchez. This method is briefly described, and later on, the aim is to combine the different possible approaches in the valuation of the landscape, thus considering physical, artistic and psychological attributes.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo resume el estudio realizado, cuyo objetivo es la valoración del impacto paisajístico de las cataratas del río Utcubamba, que forma parte del proyecto de investigación gestión de paisajes naturales con fines ecoturísticos en la cuenca media del río Utcubamba. Lo destacable del estudio es que se aborda un aspecto relativamente nuevo; pero, muy importante para el uso de los recursos naturales. En la valoración del paisaje existe un claro conflicto entre diferentes enfoques; el método utilizado para la valoración de las unidades paisajísticas en este trabajo es el propuesto por Ignacio Cañas Guerrero y María A. Ruiz Sánchez. Mediante dicho método se describe de forma breve, y más adelante, se pretende conjugar los distintos enfoques posibles en la valoración del paisaje, considerando así atributos físicos, artísticos y psicológicos.es-ES
