dc.descriptionWe report the case of a 37-years-old woman, who was treated for a metastatic carcinoma located at the ovary from extragenital source: Krukenberg´s tumor, at the Surgery Department N.º 5, Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen - IPSS. The tumor showed signet ring cells in cellular stroma, derivated from ovarian stroma. The primary neoplasm was gastric cancer and has been submitted to total gastrectomy plus omentectomy (R-II Resection) with esophagus-jejuno lateral end anastomosis in Y of Roux with autosuture.After 18 months, she underwents a second intervention: total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpinx oophorectomy, showing ascitis and bilateral enlarged solid ovarian masses. Her survival was 24 months after the first intervention.en-US
dc.descriptionSe reporta el caso de una mujer de 37 años de edad, atendida en el Servicio de Cirugía General N.º 5 del Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen - IPSS, con carcinoma metastásico en el ovario de origen extragenital: tumor de Krukenberg, con células en anillo de sello en un estroma celular derivado del estroma ovárico. La neoplasia primaria fue cáncer gástrico siendo sometida a gastrectomía total más omentectomía (Resección R II) con esofagoyeyuno anastomosis termino- lateral en Y de Roux con autosutura. A los 18 meses tuvo una nueva intervención: histerectomía abdominal total más salpingooforectomía bilateral, observándose ascitis y masa sólidas ováricas bilaterales sui generis, de gran tamaño. La sobrevida de esta paciente fue de 24 meses después de la primera intervención quirúrgica.es-ES
