Odontologia.Atualmente, uma enorme quantidade de adesivos é introduzida no mercado, e por isso torna-se difícil para o profissional da odontologia realizar a escolha entre a enorme variedade de produtos existentes. O fato de cada um possuir suas particularidades, mecanismos de ação e vantagens, e até mesmo a chegada aos últimos anos dos sistemas adesivos autocondicionantes, nos reforça a necessidade de revisar o processo de adesão aos tecidos dentais. Portanto, este estudo tem como objetivo revisar a literatura acerca dos sistemas adesivos.Currently, a huge amount of dental adhesives is introduced in the market, and therefore it becomes difficult for the dentistry professional to perform the choice between the huge range of existing products. The fact that each has its own peculiarities, mechanisms of action and benefits, and even the arrival in recent years of self-etching adhesive systems, reinforces the need to review the process of adhesion to dental tissues. Therefore, this study aims to review the literature about adhesive systems.
