| dc.description | The present work presents the assessment of the vulnerability and risk of groundwater pollution in the eastern portion of the Araripe Sedimentary Basin, Ceará, Brasil, through the GOD and POSH methods. The GOD method presented three classes of vulnerability: low, moderate and high, with a predominance of moderate vulnerability (80%). The POSH method classified the pollutant loads into three indexes: high, moderate and low. The vulnerability map associated with the risks of pollution facilitated the identification of the areas most susceptible to contamination, serving as a subsidy for municipal managers in future plans for use and occupation of urban and rural land. | en-US |
| dc.description | O presente trabalho apresenta a avaliação da vulnerabilidade e risco de poluição das águas subterrâneas na porção leste da Bacia Sedimentar do Araripe, Ceará, Brasil, por meio dos métodos GOD e POSH. O método GOD apresentou três classes de vulnerabilidade: baixa, moderada e alta, com predomínio de vulnerabilidade moderada (80%). O método POSH classificou as cargas poluidoras em três índices: elevado, moderado e baixo. O mapa de vulnerabilidade associado aos riscos a poluição facilitou a identificação das áreas mais susceptíveis à contaminação, servindo como subsídio para gestores municipais em futuros planos diretores de uso e ocupação do solo urbano e rural. | pt-BR |
