dc.description.abstract | The study compared the recovery of the mine tailings Factory, has as main objective to
analyze the feasibility of recovery of the mine tailings Factory, by testing a sample in relation
to the content of Fe The specific objectives were to present the brief historical context related
to mining in Brazil, demonstrating the stages of production of ore, mining tailings define,
analyze on the disposal of mining tailings, and demonstrate the importance of the tailings dam
to reduce environmental impacts. The research was characterized as being exploratory
quantitative, triggering a case study, based on analysis by sampling the Fe content in the
waste of Mine Plant. Regarding the theoretical framework, we used references, articles and
theses that seeking support of the proposed study, it was a reflection in the light of various
scholars who hold forth on the proposed topic. Regarding the lease of the plant near the plant
now, the advantages presented reported the use of existing spacers; greater flexibility for
water balance, ease of operation. However, the disadvantages were highlighted interference
with the current operation; project without synergy with the dam project, and interference in
the courtyard of current production. Thus, it was found that the disadvantages are significant,
which leads to further studies on the feasibility of the recovery of the residue in relation to
location of the plant close to the current plan. We also analyzed strategies concerning the
lease of the plant near the Dam III fork, where the benefits were presented as the synergy with
the recovery project dams, low interference with the current operation, and synergy with the
mining of the dams. The disadvantages presented at that location were considered lower than
the first analysis of the location of the plant, with only the difficulty of water balance, and
logistical difficulties for operation and maintenance. In this sense, it was concluded that the
viability of recovery of the mine tailings Factory presents more viable over the simulations,
routes and tests, if the lease of the plant is present near the Dam III fork, due to its advantages
attractive in relation to the disadvantages which can be performed strategies for their viability
remedying the problems presented. | |
