dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to perform the ergonomic analysis of the work of truck drivers in a beverage transportation company. Environmental factors such as noise, temperature and vibration in the workplace were considered. he biomechanical evaluation was performed by applying the standard Nordic questionnaire, the REBA methodology, the simplified assessment of the biomechanical conditions of the workplace and the application of the Strain Index. The value obtained for the equivalent noise level was below the limit established by the NR-15 standard. It was found that the thermal comfort conditions during the evaluated period were in accordance with the legislation. The results of the whole body vibration assessment were below the daily exposure limit, representing no risk to the health and safety of drivers. There have been reports of pain and/or musculoskeletal discomfort in the last 12 months in the back region, possibly associated with prolonged sitting periods. The evaluation of the biomechanical conditions of the work indicated that it has excellent condition, without risk of injuries of this order. Analysis of forced postures showed low risk of injury. Finally, the activity was classified by the Strain Index as of some risk for the development of RSI/WRMSD in the wrists. It can be concluded that truck driver activities present a low degree of ergonomic risks and, regarding the evaluated environmental factors, they do not represent risks to drivers, provided that the journey and the rest breaks provided for in the legislation are respected. | |
