In recent years there has been a worsening of global climatic changes that end up creating risk situations for entire populations, whether due to physical, material or psychological impact. Thus, thousands of people are forced to live precariously in tented cities with low hygiene, lack of privacy and difficulty in receiving water. The objective of this project was the development of a shelter proposal for climate refugees, based on ease of assembly and transportation, providing occupant safety. The methodology adopted was a search for solutions of nature that could be used as inspiration, as a way to combat such challenges, by the biomimetism applied to the design. The result was the development of a shelter that takes advantage of the structural characteristics of the cardboard material, favoring thermal and acoustic comfort of the environment; its design allows appropriate fitting systems, facilitating the production of the parts of the shelter.
