dc.description.abstractThis work aims to observe, without too much historical depth, how the teaching of graphic accentuation has been done in recent years in educational institutions. It is known that there are many challenges presented in basic education regarding the mastery of spelling rules by students, such as a focus on memorization and ineffective methodologies present in textbooks. In this sense, it was observed which recent literatures are related to the subject and how they approach the subject in question, as well as prescribe the normative teaching documents. In addition, it was analyzed, by way of example, how the use of diacritics is described in three Portuguese language works approved in the PNLD 2020 - Anos Finas do Ensino Fundamental, including the textbook used by the 6th grade students of the midle school of the State School Professor Affonso Neves – Belo Horizonte/MG. Subsequently, as the main objective, from the overflight over the traditional teaching of the subject in question, a didactic sequence was developed that is fundamentally based on games for the teaching and learning of graphic accentuation, whose fundamental intention is to present a ludic and educational course plan. challenging in which students can reflect on the rules of graphic accentuation and can understand the importance of the rules for using the diacritic.
