dc.description.abstractThis text outlines a brief overview of curriculum theories, with reference to the organizational proposal developed by Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, in the work Documentos de Identidade. The article brings the traditional theories and their aspects as the first focus. Then, the critical theories and the debate in Pedagogy of the Oppressed, by Paulo Freire, and in Critical-Social Pedagogy, with Dermeval Saviani. Finally, without the character of evolution and linearity of the curricular field, the post-critical theories are commented. In this way, there is a contribution towards broadening the understanding of the field of study in question, which is sometimes permeated with conceptual and methodological inaccuracies.
