Objective: The present case study aims to demonstrate the report of the experience of a psychologist in the intervention in a case of a child currently 6 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in Belo Horizonte, MG. Its main objective was to exemplify the effectiveness of intensive and interdisciplinary behavioral intervention as proposed in the literature. Description: Formal assessments were done by the psychology using the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program Protocol, clinical observations and analysis of the child's development through reassessments and reports from parents. In addition, advances in integrated areas that also work with children were presented: occupational therapy and speech therapy. It was concluded that the case under study corroborates the evidence found in the literature on the intervention based on Applied Behavior Analysis in an intensive manner (25-40 hours per week) and of an interdisciplinary nature.
