By applying psychoanalysis to the case study, this article brings together the concepts of subjectivity and politics in the periphery and their interactions at multiple levels. As the rights‑bearing subject does not correspond to the concrete human being, and the body does not correspond to images of the self or to unconscious desire, it is argued that it is necessary to operate on all these multiple planes simultaneously. Thus, the notion of political subjectivity allows us to think about communality without reducing it to dominant, hierarchical, and alienating codifications.
