We try to define what epistemofilic drive would be according to Freud, to identify where it is presented in his work and to point what is its relation with scopic drive as well. We refer to our previous work "Do ver ao perder de vista: A psicanálise do olhar", to demonstrate in more detail this relation between the drives deduced from the studying of Freud. Analyzing Oedipus Complex and Screen Memories, it is discussed the aspect that seeing means knowing and demonstrated how it is incomplete. Finally, we analyze "The final cut" movie to illustrate the developed reasoning.
