dc.description.abstract | The files consist of three-dimensional digital reconstructions of the endocranial cavity of 7 Furnariidae and 8 Tyrannidae species. Both are families of the order Passeriformes (Aves) and belong to the group called Suboscines of the New World, more specifically, to the infraorder called Tyrannides. The models were reconstructed from X-ray microtomographies. The specimens belong to the Osteological Collection of Birds of the Center for Research in Earth Sciences (CICTERRA, UNC, CONICET) and the Museum of Zoology of the National University of Córdoba (MZUC). The STL format files were built only with what anatomically corresponds to the brain, that is, these models do not contain reconstructions of nerves, inner ears, or blood vessels.
