| dc.description | In this text I analyze the relationships between poetry and body. In the first section. I introduce the subject through an essay by Vladimir Maiakovski. In the second, I enquire into the topic of sacrifice in the poetry of José Lezama Lima. In the third, I connect these ideas with a cover of the Juventud Rebelde newspaper from December 1989, referring to the repatriation of the Cuban soldiers killed in the Angola war, and I describe the formation of a political theology that articulates the body, sovereign power and war. In the fourth section, I describe Cuban writers from the 1980s who switched that perspective by thinking about the body from a Foucauldian “care of the self” perspective. In the conclusions I highlight the importance of poetry as a marker of the tendencies of a certain period of time and reflect on the possibilities of extending this analysis to other areas of Latin America. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este texto analizo las relaciones entre poesía y cuerpo. En el primer apartado presento el tema a través de un ensayo de Vladimir Maiakovski. En el segundo me ocupo del sacrificio en la poesía de José Lezama Lima. En el tercero conecto estas ideas con una tapa del diario Juventud Rebelde de diciembre de 1989, referida a la repatriación de los muertos cubanos en la guerra de Angola, y describo la formación de una teología política que articula cuerpo, poder soberano y guerra. En el cuarto apartado describo escritores cubanos de los años 80 que rompieron con esa perspectiva abordando el cuerpo a través de una “inquietud de sí”. En las conclusiones retomo el recorrido, destaco la importancia de la poesía como marcadora de las tendencias de una época determinada y me pregunto por las posibilidades de extender el análisis a otras zonas de América Latina. | es-ES |
