dc.description.abstractCritical thinking is something that must be exercised and developed, it is an achievement that must be achieved educationally, but it happens that in its practice it often fails, because its use and the very capacity of critical thinking are not promoted and much minus the integration of the strategies that comprise it. That is why through this work and taking into account criticism through a literary work, which will be used as a perspective for the reader to demonstrate its influence and thus can emerge and contribute to the construction of critical thinking in higher education students, at the same time that skills that are condensed in their teaching work are strengthened so that in this way the critical thinking that each student possesses is evidenced. For this, it is important to know the main conceptions that denote the importance of preparing professionals who can think critically and who will support the proposal that one wants to raise, as it is: literature, critical thinking and literary criticism. So, literature helps us to visualize social problems and even changes that have occurred over time, since man and literature have always gone hand in hand due to their symbolic expression with the passing of history. So, it can be said that the mission that is assumed through this writing is based on the formation of people with a good critical sense.
