dc.description.abstract | Alternative Sport Club is created according to experiences studied within the subject of alternative sports at the Santo Tomás University, in which much of the knowledge and experiences learned within it was present, for this reason alternative sports and variability drew attention. that manage the sports within this branch, also within these sports the physical and mental well-being becomes fundamental, also giving the opportunity to explore a new world of sports, such as the alternative ones that in turn are linked with principles and values within the practice of this and that contribute to those linked to grow not only in the physical, mental and cognitive field, but also to train people of integrity and empathy for the environment where they relate.
Therefore, Alternative Sport Club is linked to four very important components, which are, to say; sport, health, values in sport and recyclable materials. Prior to defining what alternative sports are, a definition of sport as such is needed, which is why Castejón (2001) defines sport as a physical activity in which a person develops and manifests a series of movements or voluntary control of the movements using your individual characteristics and/or cooperation with others so that you can compete with yourself, the environment or against others in order to win to highlight your personal limitations, keeping in mind that there are rules that must always be followed and in some cases can use some materials for practice, the second component that Alternative Sport Club includes is health, which is defined according to WHO (2006) as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the absence of conditions or diseases, the third component that comprises the company which is values in sport, according to Ruiz & Cabrera (2004) physical education, in its link relationship with school sport, should promote the values that sport should foster and develop; This factor, with its content and activity, has great potential for the development of the child, both physically and personally, and thus contributes to the improvement of the personality, for which it becomes essential that each one of the interventions should be guide the values as previously mentioned so that those linked can excel and be neat and upright people. | |
