Diseño de instalaciones del almacén de materiales de empaque, en la empresa "Industrias Alimenticias el Trebol S.A." para la optimización del espacio

Abstract

This project of degree was done in the company "Industrias Alimenticias El Trébol S.A.", dedicated to the production, marketing and distribution of Panela. The objective of the present work is to make a proposal of the design of the facilities of the packing material warehouse to increase the storage capacity. To accomplish this, a diagnosis was made of the area of the warehouse and the references that are stored there, based on the pertinent information collected and provided by the company in order to determine its current condition. This was done through the use of different engineering tools and methods; and based on the degree works that have to do with the theme of this project to facilitate the development of this. In a second measure, the design of the design proposal for the packing material warehouse facilities was carried out, starting with the projections of purchases of the materials that are stored to have the base of the space required in a time future, this was done through qualitative and quantitative methods. The proposal of the location for the different references in the warehouse was also made by means of the SLP Algorithm and the CORELAP software; said location was based on the respective rotations of the materials, using the ABC classification. The proposal managed to increase the storage capacity of the packing material warehouse and improve different internal logistics aspects of the warehouse.

Este proyecto de grado se llevó a cabo en la empresa “Industrias Alimenticias El Trébol S.A.”, dedicada a la producción, comercialización y distribución de Panela. El objetivo del presente trabajo es realizar una propuesta del diseño de las instalaciones de la bodega de material de empaque para aumentar la capacidad de almacenamiento. Para cumplir esto, se realizó un diagnóstico del área de la bodega y de las referencias que se almacenan allí, a partir de la información pertinente recolectada y suministrada por la empresa con el fin de determinar su condición actual. Esto se realizó por medio de la utilización de diferentes herramientas y métodos propios de la ingeniería; y teniendo como base los trabajos de grado que tienen que ver con el tema del presente proyecto para facilitar el desarrollo de éste. En una segunda medida, se llevó a cabo el diseño de la propuesta del diseño de las instalaciones del Almacén de material de empaque, iniciando con la realización de proyecciones de compras de los materiales que se almacenan para tener la base del espacio requerido en un tiempo futuro, esto se realizó por medio de métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. También se realizó la propuesta de la ubicación para las diferentes referencias en el almacén por medio del Algoritmo SLP y el software CORELAP; dicha ubicación se basó de acuerdo a las respectivas rotaciones de los materiales, utilizando la clasificación ABC. La propuesta logró incrementar la capacidad de almacenamiento del Almacén de material de empaque y mejorar diferentes aspectos internos logísticos del almacén.
