dc.description.abstractThe text provides elements to support three theses about the political system in Chile, namely, in the first place there was no return to a democratic system after Pinochet left the government in 1990 because that was the design of its main ideologue; secondly, the multi-party system until 2019 was rather nominal given that the networks of influence and corruption annulled it in practice; finally, the true transition to a democratic system begins in October 2019 with the beginning of the social outbreak.
