Coveercold is a thermal insulation designed to improve the habitability conditions related to thermal comfort in rural housing in Sumapaz. It seeks to respond to particular circumstances that represent an obstacle to guarantee an adequate temperature range (17 °c to 28 °c) within these dwellings. Additionally, it seeks to respond to the specific needs of the self-construction present in the community, so that the product is able to facilitate the installation process. To facilitate the installation process. The purpose of the research was directed to the collection of data by means of tools for measuring the climate and thermal properties of the materials, as well as the level of knowledge about the bioclimatic and thermal properties of the materials, as well as the level of knowledge about the bioclimatic of the dwellings in the sector. Of the houses in the sector. This information made it possible to identify the rural, environmental and constructive context. In order to be able to provide better alternatives in terms of thermal transfer and usability or installation of the product. The research was developed in 4 stages. 1. Initially, to understand the climatic context of Sumapaz (annexes 1 to 3). 2. The context of self-construction and what knowledge of bioclimatics they could be applying (annex 4). 3. Analysis of the houses (table 3 and figures 1, 2, 14, 15, 16, 28). 4. Finally, a more extensive stage of experimentation and testing that would allow us to reach a synthesis of the product a product synthesis. That responds to the different requirements of the project. Coveercold is an easy-to-install thermal insulation designed for the particular climatic and social conditions of rural Sumapaz. The aesthetics of the páramo and the community inspired colors and textures, as well as technical characteristics to take advantage of the temperature and solar radiation. As for the general volume, it is composed of 3 materials that provide a low heat transfer coefficient. provide a low heat transfer coefficient (0.327 w/mk) and a high durability of the product.
