Centro de salud mental comunitario con internamiento en base a la teoría open door en Castilla, Piura 2020

Abstract

La presente tesis partió de un análisis de la realidad que nos permitió identificar la problemática generada por la carencia de equipamientos de salud mental en el distrito de Castilla. Existen antecedentes de estos centros, los cuales poseen una arquitectura que no garantizaba las condiciones de habitabilidad para los pacientes, lo que evidenció la necesidad de una edificación que a través de la arquitectura tenga un impacto positivo y favorezca el restablecimiento de la salud mental. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo elaborar el diseño de un “Centro de salud mental comunitario con internamiento en base a la teoría Open Door” en el distrito de castilla, donde la arquitectura pueda responder a las diversas necesidades de los pacientes, eliminando el estigma de opresión que se tiene sobre estos centros, evitando la sensación de estar en un hospital y creando un medio con amplia extensión donde los pacientes puedan desplazarse libremente. Por ello, se realizó el estudio de diversas teorías sobre arquitectura, salud y salud mental que pudieran darle este enfoque al proyecto. La metodología de la presente investigación tuvo un enfoque mixto que permitió conocer las necesidades y percepción del público objetivo y realizar una medición numérica para establecer patrones. Como resultado, el presente proyecto da respuesta a estas necesidades diseñando una edificación multifuncional con espacios públicos, plazas, jardines, y áreas privadas sin pasillos, ni muros cerrados donde los pacientes puedan disfrutar de la máxima independencia posible, desplazarse autónomamente e interactuar con el paisaje, generando una sensación de libertad.

This thesis started from an analysis of reality that allowed us to identify the problem arising from the lack of infrastructure and mental health service in the district of Castilla. There is a history of these centers, which have an architecture that didn’t guarantee habitability conditions for patients, which shows the need for a building that, through architecture, has a positive impact and favors the restoration of mental health. The objective of this research is to develop the design of a ""Community Mental Health Center with internment based on the Open Door theory"" in the district of Castilla, where architecture can respond to the various needs of patients, eliminating the stigma of oppression that is had on these centers, preventing the feeling of being in a hospital and creating a wide area where patients can move freely. For this reason, the study of various theories on architecture, health and mental health that could give this approach to the project was carried out. The methodology of the present investigation had a mixed approach that allowed to know the needs and perception of the target public and to carry out a numerical measurement to establish patterns. As a result, this project responds to these needs by designing a multifunctional building with public spaces, squares, gardens, and private areas without corridors or closed walls where patients can enjoy the maximum possible independence, move autonomously and interact with the landscape, showing a sense of freedom.
