Estudio y optimización de la red vial avenida América Sur tramo prolongación Cesar Vallejo - avenida Ricardo Palma, Trujillo

Abstract

Los ingenieros civiles tenemos como objetivo primordial proporcionar soluciones a problemas existentes de la vida cotidiana, diseñar, crear y concretar proyectos que satisfagan las necesidades de las personas y a la vez garantizar la seguridad de esos proyectos. Por tal motivo surge esta tesis que tiene como objetivo general, realizar un estudio del tráfico vehicular actual, en la avenida América Sur tramo Prolongación César Vallejo – avenida Ricardo palma, Trujillo, La Libertad, con el fin de identificar los problemas concernientes al tráfico vehicular, considerando como uno de los mayores problemas actuales en la ciudad de Trujillo, el crecimiento del parque automotor, que conlleva al congestionamiento vehicular y al bajo nivel de servicio en que operan las vías de la zona urbana. El presente estudio de tráfico vehicular se realizó de acuerdo a los estándares establecidos en el Manual de Capacidad de Carreteras (""Highway Capacity Manual, HCM""). Como parte de la investigación se determinaron los volúmenes de tránsito en las horas críticas, los tiempos de semáforos, los anchos de vía y las capacidades, estos resultados se muestran mediante figuras y tablas donde se confirma el problema que existe en los puntos de estudio. Además, se realizó estudios de las velocidades, donde se determinó la velocidad de recorrido en las horas punta y con esto el nivel de servicio al que operan las vías en estudio (resultado: nivel C, D y E). Finalmente se hicieron las conclusiones y recomendaciones con la finalidad que esta investigación sea útil para estudios posteriores de las entidad competente del caso que es el Transporte Metropolitano de Trujillo (T.M.T.)

Civil engineers have as primary objective to provide solutions to existing problems of daily life, design, create and specify projects that meet the needs of people and at the same time ensure the safety of these projects. For this reason arises this thesis that has as a general objective, to carry out a study of the current vehicular traffic, in the South America avenue César Vallejo Prolongation - Ricardo Palm Avenue, Trujillo, La Libertad, in order to identify the problems concerning vehicular traffic , considering as one of the biggest current problems in the city of Trujillo, the growth of the automotive fleet, which leads to traffic congestion and the low level of service in which the roads of the urban area operate. The present traffic study was conducted according to the standards established in the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM). As part of the investigation, the traffic volumes were determined during the critical hours, the semaphore times, the track gauges and the capacities, these results are shown by figures and tables where the problem that exists in the study points is confirmed. In addition, speed studies were conducted, where the speed of travel at peak times was determined and with this the level of service to which the roads under study operate (result: level C, D and E). Finally the conclusions and recommendations were made with the purpose that this investigation is useful for later studies of the competent entity of the case that is the Metropolitan Transport of Trujillo (T.M.T.)
