Pacientes atendidos en pandemia Covid-19, en el Hospital Iquitos "César Garayar García" abril a junio 2020 - rotaciones triaje diferenciado - carpa covid 19

Abstract

Al finalizar el año 2019 se notificó la aparición de una neumonía clasificada como atípica en la ciudad de Wuhan ubicada en China, el agente causal de esta enfermedad fue identificado como coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 o también llamado COVID-19. Durante el primer trimestre del año 2020, esta infección tuvo presencia en otros continentes por lo que la Organización Mundial de la Salud la calificó como una pandemia, al finalizar este primer trimestre ya se habían notificado 120,000 casos y 4,000 fallecidos a nivel mundial. En Perú, se notifica el primer caso a principios de marzo del presente año y en tan solo 2 semanas se notificó el primer caso de COVID-19 en la ciudad de Iquitos ubicado en el departamento de Loreto. En tan solo 1 mes en la región Loreto ya se reportaban 60 ingresos diarios por COVID-19 y aproximadamente 250 hospitalizados en el Hospital Regional Loreto, llegando a presentarse 15 muertes diarias por esta enfermedad. El personal de salud también formó parte de la lista de personas infectadas y fallecidas, por lo que el personal médico en primera línea fue ampliamente reducido, no solo en el Hospital Regional Loreto, declarado como Hospital COVID sino también en el Hospital Iquitos que a diario el personal médico fue lamentablemente reducido en número por esta enfermedad atendiendo las emergencias de toda la ciudad. Ante esto los pocos médicos responsables que aún quedaron en primera línea solicitaron la presencia de personal de salud capacitado para el manejo de pacientes. Es así que en esta difícil situación y declarándome capaz de demostrar lo aprendido en la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana, me presento a la convocatoria desesperada de las autoridades, lo que motiva a la presentación de este informe de trabajo de suficiencia profesional.

At the end of 2019, the appearance of pneumonia classified as atypical was reported in the city of Wuhan located in China, the causal agent of this disease was identified as the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus or also called COVID-19. During the first quarter of 2020, this infection had a presence in other continents, which is why the World Health Organization classified it as a pandemic, at the end of this first quarter, 120,000 cases and 4,000 deaths had already been reported worldwide. In Peru, the first case was notified at the beginning of March of this year and in just 2 weeks the first case of COVID-19 was notified in the city of Iquitos located in the department of Loreto. In just 1 month in the Loreto region there were already 60 daily admissions for COVID-19 and approximately 250 hospitalized in the Loreto Regional Hospital, reaching 15 daily deaths from this disease. Health personnel were also part of the list of infected and deceased people, so the medical personnel on the front line was greatly reduced, not only at the Loreto Regional Hospital, declared as a COVID Hospital but also at the Iquitos Hospital, which daily the medical staff was unfortunately reduced in number by this disease attending emergencies throughout the city. Given this, the few responsible doctors who were still in the front line requested the presence of health personnel trained in patient management. Thus, in this difficult situation and declaring myself capable of demonstrating what I have learned at the Faculty of Human Medicine of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, I present myself to the desperate call of the authorities, which motivates the presentation of this work report professional sufficiency.
