| dc.description | Although many organizations have migrated from the traditional hierarchical form to forms that incorporate a mixture of several perspectives of organizational forms, the theory of how IT influences organizational forms remains underdeveloped. This paper examines the IT impacts on external strategy, organizational structure, and decision making. The analysis is based on a literature review and looks at what would be a feasible path for the migration of organizations in the IT era and the role of information technology in the migration trend. [Resumen] Aunque muchas organizaciones han emigrado de la forma jerárquica tradicional a las formas que incorporan una mezcla de varias perspectivas de formas organizacionales, la teoría de cómo la tecnología de información influye en las formas organizacionales continúa subdesarrollada. Este artículo analiza el impacto de la tecnología de información sobre estrategias externas, estructuras organizacionales y toma de decisiones. El análisis se basa en una revisión de literatura y examina cuál sería una trayectoria factible para la migración de organizaciones en la era tecnológica y el rol de la tecnología de información en la tendencia de la migración. | |
