Inversión pública y competitividad en la Macro Región Sur 2013-2019

Abstract

La presente investigación: “Inversión Pública y Competitividad en la Macro Región Sur 2013-2019” pretende explicar cuáles son aquellos factores de la inversión pública que contribuyen a una mejora de la competitividad a nivel de las regiones que conforman la Macro Región Sur, de igual modo se busca determinar prescripciones de políticas respecto a la inversión pública regional. El principal objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar el grado de influencia entre la inversión pública en educación e infraestructura vial con respecto a la competitividad en su dimensión educación e infraestructura en la Macro Región Sur para el periodo 2013-2019. En los últimos años se ha podido verificar que los niveles de competitividad de los departamentos que conforman la Macro Región Sur se han visto disminuidos o estancados, como producto de la reducción de la competitividad nacional, esto se debe a una falta de articulación en los niveles de inversión pública respecto a cada uno de los niveles de gobierno. Los estudios anteriores nos muestran que existen efectos positivos de la inversión pública con respecto a los niveles de competitividad. Con la presente tesis se busca medir e interpretar sobre dicha base teórica para el caso de la Macro Región Sur y para el periodo de análisis 2013-2019. Finalmente, se ha logrado demostrar que existe un alto grado de correlación entre la inversión pública en infraestructura y educación con respecto a la competitividad regional.

Previous studies show us that there are positive effects of public investment with respect to levels of competitiveness. This thesis seeks to measure and interpret on this theoretical basis for the case of the Southern Macro Region and for the analysis period 2013-2019. Finally, it has been possible to demonstrate that there is a high degree of correlation between public investment in infrastructure and education with respect to regional competitiveness.
