El artículo examina una dimensión vertical de la historia diferente del desarrollo horizontal de los sucesos. Primero, analiza el trasfondo ofrecido por los fundadores de la fenomenología. E. Husserl, M. Scheler y M. Heidegger se refieren de diversas maneras a un desarrollo recíproco de Dios y hombre. Luego, se ocupa de la noción de la naturaleza como matriz de la historia según M. Merleau-Ponty. En tercer lugar, la atención recae en la concepción de E. Levinas sobre una cultura ética, que, sin comienzo histórico, se encuentra más allá de las culturas del saber y del arte. El cuarto apartado considera las raíces de la historia en el “yo puedo" individual tal como se funda, según M. Henry, en la Vida Absoluta. El apartado final del artículo se refiere a un reino inmemorial vinculado a la dimensión vertical y desarrollado en las tres esferas de la naturaleza, la intersubjetividad y la interioridad.The articule examines a vertical dimension of history conceived as different from the horizontal development of events. First, the background offered by the founders of phenomenology is analyzed. E. Husserl, M. Scheler, and M. Heidegger refer in various ways to a reciprocal development of God and man. Then, the article deals with M. Merleau-Ponty’s notion of a nature as a matrix of history. Third, attention is given to E. Levinas’ conception of an ethical culture, which, devoid of a historical beginning, is beyond the cultures of knowledge and arts. The fourth section considers the roots of history in the individual “I can" as its is based, according to M. Henry, on Absolute Life. The final section of the paper refers to an immemorial realm that is linked to the vertical dimension and develops in the three spheres of nature, intersubjectivity, and inwardness.
