Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas alimentarias en madres de niños menores a 2 años y su relación con el estado nutricional

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general “determinar los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas alimentarias en madres de niños menores a 2 años”. La metodología fue de enfoque cuantitativo – cualitativo, de tipo transversal y no experimental, contó con 59 madres y niños de 6 y 24 meses. Se determinó que más del 90% de niños no presentaron alteraciones en los indicadores, talla/edad, Peso/edad, IMC/ Edad, Peso/Talla. Respecto al CAP, el 79,66% conoce la edad de inicio de la alimentación complementaria, 94,92%, conoce que alimentos se introduce en la alimentación complementaria, y el 57,63% conoce el tiempo la lactancia materna. Actitudes: El 89,83% de las madres se sienten seguras al momento de administrar alimentos, el 93,22% refiere que los alimentos aportan nutrientes de buena calidad, 93,22% prefiere que el niño realice actividad física. Práctica: el 45,76% alimenta de 4 a 6 veces, el 61,02% refiere que el niño consume todo el alimento. Se concluye que las madres tienen una percepción adecuada sobre la lactancia materna y la alimentación. The general objective of this research was to "to determine the knowledge, attitudes and feeding practices in mothers of children under 2 years of age". The methodology was quantitative-qualitative, cross-sectional and non-experimental, with 59 mothers and children aged 6 and 24 months. It was determined that more than 90% of the children did not present alterations in the indicators height/age, weight/age, BMI/age, weight/height. Regarding the KAP, 79.66% knew the age of initiation of complementary feeding, 94.92% knew which foods were introduced in complementary feeding, and 57.63% knew the duration of breastfeeding. Attitudes: 89.83% of the mothers feel confident when administering food, 93.22% say that the food provides good quality nutrients, 93.22% prefer the child to be physically active. Practice: 45.76% fed 4 to 6 times, 61.02% said that the child consumed all the food. It is concluded that mothers have an adequate perception of breastfeeding and feeding.
