Farmacología aplicada a la odontopediatría en procesos infecciosos

Abstract

Ante la presencia de ciertas enfermedades, existen algunos medicamentos, como los antibióticos utilizados para infecciones, para evitar el crecimiento y reproducción de microorganismos que provocan diversos signos y síntomas en el paciente, una experiencia muy desagradable para el paciente pediátrico; por este motivo, se está realizando una búsqueda de la mejor alternativa de tratamiento odontológico en combinación con la terapia farmacológica. Los cuidados en el cálculo de la dosis, en el intervalo de administración y en el tiempo de uso son de extrema importancia para una terapia eficaz y sin toxicidad para el niño. El Objetivo de la investigación es identificar las consecuencias que se presentan en una mala administración de un antibiótico en Odontología pediátrica. La Metodología es de revisión sistemática de la literatura, estudio de casos, estudio experimental y estudio de cohorte retrospectivo Los Resultados en la presente revisión bibliográfica se empleó una revisión de artículos científicos actualizados, revistas indexadas de Scielo, Google académico y Pubmed. Es fundamental que los odontólogos estén familiarizados con la farmacoterapia que utilizan en el cuidado y manejo de sus pacientes, especialmente en lo que se refiere al uso de anestésicos locales, analgésicos, antibióticos y antiinflamatorios no esteroideos, incluyendo posibles contraindicaciones en pacientes con alergias. Las Conclusiones después de una revisión bibliográfica, se condescendió conocer sobre el uso de los antibióticos en la práctica odontológica, se mostraron los fármacos antibacterianos más utilizados en odontología, cada fármaco con su dosificación y el uso más efectivo en cuanto al patógeno y la enfermedad que provoca.

In the presence of certain diseases, there are some medications, such as antibiotics used for infections, to prevent the growth and reproduction of microorganisms that cause various signs and symptoms in the patient, a very unpleasant experience for the pediatric patient; for this reason, a search for the best alternative dental treatment in combination with pharmacological therapy is being carried out. Care in the calculation of the dosage, in the administration interval and in the time of use are of extreme importance for an effective therapy without toxicity for the child. The objective of the research is to identify the consequences of a bad administration of an antibiotic in pediatric dentistry. The methodology is a systematic review of the literature, a case study, an experimental study and a retrospective cohort study. The results of the present literature review included a review of updated scientific articles, journals indexed in Scielo, Google Scholar and Pubmed. It is essential for dentists to be familiar with the pharmacotherapy they use in the care and management of their patients, especially with regard to the use of local anesthetics, analgesics, antibiotics and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including possible contraindications in patients with allergies. The Conclusions after a bibliographic review, it was condescended to know about the use of antibiotics in dental practice, the most used antibacterial drugs in dentistry were shown, each drug with its dosage and the most effective use in terms of the pathogen and the disease it causes.
