| dc.description.abstract | Background: the satisfaction of mothers is the cognitive experience, based on previous
expectations and the procedure of the service received, influenced by personal needs, perceptions, perspectives, moral and cultural values.
Objective: to evaluate the degree of satisfaction of mothers regarding the care received during childbirth and puerperium. Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital. Azogues, 2022-2023.
Methodology: an observational, descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted, with a sample of 152 mothers from the Obstetrics area of the Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital, in the city of Azogues. Data were collected with the help of the COMFORTS scale. The collected data were transcribed to the statistical program SPSS V26.0. For the statistical analysis, frequency
distribution, percentages and measures of central tendency were used.
Results: the predominant age group was 25 to 34 years (46.1%), free union 40.8%; third level of education 49.3%, mostly housewives 66.4%, rural residents 55.9%. In the global analysis 71.7% mothers are satisfied with the care received. In the dimension, childbirth care, 59.2% satisfied; postpartum care, 63.2% satisfied; NB care, 53.3% satisfied; and logistics/environment , 53.9% satisfied.
Conclusion: the dimension with the highest degree of satisfaction was care in the puerperium and the dimension with the lowest degree of satisfaction was the care in the NB. | |
