Background: The morphology of the foot is adapted to achieve the demands for support and complex movements; therefore, CrossFit, as a high intensity sport, can compromise its structure and functionality; being the flat foot and cavus the most common in the population and its presence is an indication of developing variations in its joint function. Objetive: To determine the alteration of the plantar footprint and the risk of musculoskeletal injuries in CrossFit athletes at El Box gym. Cuenca, August 2022-January 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was carried out in 50 CrossFit athletes at El Box gym. The information was collected through a form featuring the results of the Hernández Index and the Y Balance Test. The data were processed using the SPSS 25.0 software and decisions were made with a significance level of 0.05 to characterize the variables and standardize the results. Results: In the sample population there was a higher frequency of males; according to the Hernández Corvo Index, a higher prevalence of cavus and flat feet was found. No statistically significant relationship was found with the age, sex BMI, and risk of injury. Conclusion: In the sample population, cavus foot and overweight predominated, which might be related to the higher injury risk of athletes shown in the Y Balance Test.
