| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to know what were the sociological and subjective factors about
Ecuadorian political behavior. For this purpose, some elements of political behavior theories were
recovered, namely, sociological, psychosocial, emotional vote theory, etc. The information
obtained, through a mixed methodological design, sheds light on the electoral political behavior
of Ecuadorians, both at the national and regional levels, with their corresponding particularities.
Throughout the results of this research, it is exposed that Ecuador is a country with particularities
in terms of electoral motivation and that at regional level there are differences that allow us to
approach a better explanation of why the results of the first round of the 2021 presidential
elections were given, where, in the Coast Region we see a greater influence of the em otional
factor, in the Sierra Region the influence of the candidate's reputation and emotions, intertwined
by a reflective factor and, finally, in the Amazon Region of the electoral campaigns. It was found
that the sociological factor with the greatest influence is the social environment, while the
subjective factor with the greatest influence is emotions, followed by electoral campaigns.
Therefore, the determinants of electoral political behavior in the case of February 2021 are
emotions, social environment and electoral campaigns. There are variations in the regions of the
country, however, those factors exposed are ultimately the ones that help to understand political
behavior. | |
