The main objective of this research work is to determine the influence of a training programme based on Olympic lifts (snatch, clin, pull-ups, squats) and plyometric jumps on the improvement of lower limb explosive strength in U14 skaters, for which a study design based on a quantitative research approach was proposed, The study was applied to a sample of U14 skaters divided into two groups: a control group which worked on the basis of a classic methodology for the development of explosive strength, and an experimental group which worked under the proposed approach. The evaluation instrument used was the Bosco test applied through the contact platform and AXON JUMP jumping evaluation software, collecting data on jump height and power of the CMJ countermovement jump, results which were then categorised into levels of explosive strength according to the scales established specifically for the Bosco test. The results showed that in the experimental group there was a greater quantitative difference between the POST and PRE intervention periods. At a qualitative level, modifications in the levels of explosive strength were evident, with an improvement in the experimental group, with a significant percentage at a medium level; At a statistical level, the existence of significant differences was determined between the results by periods in the experimental group at a level of P≤0.05, showing the improvement of the result and statistical support, after the application of the programme based on Olympic weightlifting exercises and plyometrics, a phenomenon that was not evident in the control group.
