dc.description.abstractGiven the recent scientific contributions marked bythe assumption of complexity as a paradigm, social researchhas been undergoing a methodological expansion in order toenhance its ability to understand social reality. is paper delvesinto understanding the relationship and confluence that inrecent decades has occurred between two different methods suchas ethnography and participatory action research (PAR). Fromthis reflection arises the proposal of Critical Ethnographiesof Social Action (ECAP), committed to the methodologicalcrossroads which are necessary for the understanding and theattempt to modify the social, political and cultural reality.
